Ingredients

2 cups unbleached flour

1 tsp. baking soda

1tsp. baking powder

3/4 tsp. salt

1/2 tsp. cinnamon & nutmeg

1/4 tsp. cardommen & cloves

2 sticks and 2 Tblsp. unsalted butter

1 3/4 cup raw sugar

1/4 cup sugar

2 large eggs

3 tsp. vanilla

3/4 cup currants

1/2 cup ginger chips

3 cups rolled oats

Preparation

Preheat over to 350 degrees. In a small bowl whisk together flour, soda, baking powder, salt and spices. In a larger bowl beat on medium speed with a mixer the butter and sugars till lightened a bit. Then mix in eggs and vanilla. Stir the flour mixture into the butter mixutre until well blended. Stir in the remainder of the ingredients. Drop dough with a tablespoon onto a foiled cookie sheet and bake for 7-9 minutes until lightly borwned on top. Transfer to a rack to cool.
