Ingredients

1 1/2 cup dry chick peas: soak overnight then boil to soft.

1 can chopped tomatoes

1 large onion

2 cloves garlic

1 green pepper (optional)

1 chili pepper (optional)

1 Tbs madras curry powder

1 Tbs of Turmeric

cilantro for topping it off

lemon juice (optional)

Preparation

Saute onion, peppers and garlic slightly, add spices and saute until onion is transparent

Add tomatoes, cook about 3 minutes

Add chick peas, cover and turn heat down to low, about 15 minutes

Remove 1C of the mixture and blend it in blender, food processor or with an emersion blender. Add this back into the rest.

Serve topped with cilantro and lemon juice.
