Ingredients
3 eggs
5 tbsp sugar
1/8 tsp salt
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups milk, scalded
9 inch unbaked frozen pie shell (deep dish prevents spilling)
Preparation
Preheat oven to 425 In medium mixing bowl, beat eggs until well blended. Add sugar, salt, nutmeg, and vanilla. Mix thoroughly! Add scalded milk slowly, stirring constantly to prevent egg from cooking. Pour into crust. Bake at 425 until knife inserted in center comes out clean; about 30 minutes.
