Ingredients
10 hot red peppers
2 sweet red peppers
3 lemons
1 pint white vinegar
7 cups white sugar
1 pkg certo
Preparation
Wash and remove seeds from peppers. Put through food chopper. Cover with cold water, slightly scald and drain
Add vinegar and sugar. Squeeze lemons, remove seeds and put the lemon rinds through food chopper. Add to the above, boil 10 minutes then add pectin and boil 5 minutes more, stirring constantly Cool slightly, then bottle in sterilized jars, stirring occasionally so that fruit does not settle–wait about 10 minutes then fill jars–don’t usually need to stir.
