Ingredients
1 cup salted butter, softened
2 cups fine granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 package chocolate mint chips
1 cup chopped walnuts
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream together butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt - do not sift. Gradually blend into creamed mixture. Stir in chips and nuts. Drop tablespoons of dough, 2 inches apart, onto lightly greased baking sheet. Bake for approximately 10 minutes. Do not overbake - cookies will be soft but will firm up when cool. Let cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack. These cookies will freeze well.
