Ingredients
1 lb Brussel Sprouts (1/2 lb per person)
6 slices of Bacon
2-1/2 T Brown Sugar or drizzle of Maple Syrup - to taste
Olive Oil
Salt
Preparation
Cook bacon to crispy and set aside to cool. Once cool, crush to pieces.
Turn each Brussels Sprout over and slice or pull off the darkest leaves. Then half each. If really large, quarter them. Bring water boil, enough to cover sprouts. Place sprouts in boiling water and cook 30 seconds to 1 minute until the water has a light green tint. Remove and drain the bsprouts. Toss in Olive Oil and sweetener. Place bsprouts in a baking dish (flat side down for crispy texture) and bake at 375 for 30-45 minutes or until brown. Remove from oven, salt to taste and add bacon pieces.
