Ingredients

0.5 cup unsalted softened butter

6 tbsp packed brown sugar

6 tbsp granulated white sugar

0.75 tsp vanilla extract

1 large egg

0.75 cup sifted flour

0.5 tsp baking soda

0.5 tsp salt

1 cup oats

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375 F.

Beat butter, sugars and vanilla until creamy. Beat in the egg. Aside, sift together flour, baking soda and salt; add to creamed mixture slowly and mix well. Stir in oats and chips.

Drop onto greased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes, and cool on a rack.
