Ingredients
4 tbsp butter
1/2 cup finely chopped celery
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp Tabasco sauce
1/4 tsp celery salt
2 dozen oysters, with their liquor
4 cups clam juice
1 cup dry sherry
2 cups half & half
Freshly ground black pepper
Preparation
In a large saucepan, over medium heat, saute celery and onions until softened, but not browned, 3-5 minutes. Add remaining ingredients, cook, stirring occasionally, until hot, about 5 minutes. Season with pepper to taste, Serve hot.
