Ingredients
1 pint strawberries, hulled and coarsely chopped
1 cup coarsely chopped fresh pineapple or avocado
1/2 cup coarsely chopped mango or peach, or seeded cucumber
1 tsp. finely shredded lime peel
2 tsp. lime juice
2 tsp. honey
1/2 tsp. grated fresh ginger or 1-2 tsp. seeded and finely chopped jalapeño pepper
1/4 tsp. cracked black pepper
Preparation
- For sweet salsa, combine strawberries, pineapple, mango or peach, lime peel, lime juice, honey, ginger, and cracked black pepper.
- For savory salsa, combine strawberries, avocado, cucumber, lime peel, lime juice, honey, jalapeño pepper, and cracked black pepper.
- Cover and chill at least 2 hours or up to 24 hours.
