Ingredients

1 pint strawberries, hulled and coarsely chopped

1 cup coarsely chopped fresh pineapple or avocado

1/2 cup coarsely chopped mango or peach, or seeded cucumber

1 tsp. finely shredded lime peel

2 tsp. lime juice

2 tsp. honey

1/2 tsp. grated fresh ginger or 1-2 tsp. seeded and finely chopped jalapeño pepper

1/4 tsp. cracked black pepper

Preparation

  1. For sweet salsa, combine strawberries, pineapple, mango or peach, lime peel, lime juice, honey, ginger, and cracked black pepper.
  2. For savory salsa, combine strawberries, avocado, cucumber, lime peel, lime juice, honey, jalapeño pepper, and cracked black pepper.
  3. Cover and chill at least 2 hours or up to 24 hours.
