Ingredients

Pinch of coarse salt 

2 1/2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats 

Preparation

Bring a large saucepan of water and the salt to a boil. Stir in the oats, lower heat to medium, and cook, stirring occasionally, until al dente, about 7 minutes. Strain immediately under very hot water to rinse away excess starch. Serve hot with the toppings of your choice.
