Ingredients

4 cups dried sour cherries, soaked for 30 minutes in warm water

julienned zest of 1 orange

juice of 1 orange

2 tablespoons sugar

1 cup red wine

2 whole cloves

1-inch piece of cinnamon stick

Preparation

In a small casserole over high heat, place all the ingredients together. When the liquid comes to a boil, reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer until the texture is creamy, about 30 minutes.
