Ingredients

1 yellow cake box mix

1 20-oz can crushed pineapple

1 21-oz can cherry (or raspberry or whatever) pie filling

1 cup chopped pecans

1/2 cup (1 stick) sliced butter

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Grease a 13x9x2 inch pan
  3. Dump undrained pineapple into pan, spread evenly
  4. Dump pie filling over pineapple, spread evenly
  5. Dump dry cake mix onto pie filling layer, spread evenly
  6. Sprinkle pecans over cake mix
  7. Place butter slices evenly on top
  8. Bake 48 - 53 minutes
