Ingredients

1 10oz.package wide lasagna noodles, broken into bite-size pieces.

1 1/2 lbs. bulk hot Italian sausage.

1 6 oz. can tomato paste.

8 oz. bruschetta OR pasta sauce of choice.

1 diced sweet onion, such as walla-walla.

3 large garlic cloves, minced.

12 ounces mozzarella chees, shredded.

1/2 C. chicken broth or stock.

1 16 oz. carton cottage cheese.

1 t. dried basil.

1 t. fresh-ground black pepper.

1 1/2 t. salt.

1/2 t.dried oregeno.

1 1/2 t. dried parsley flakes

Preparation

Cook noodles according to package directions till just tender, drain well. Brown sausage & drain well. Spray inside of crock-pot w/non-stick spray, then lightly coat w/ olive oil. Add remaining ingredients, stir to mix. Cook on low for 7-8 hours or high for 3-5 hours. Do not stir!.If desired,top with additional sauteed garlic & shredded mozzarella. Serve with crusty bread & a crisp salad. YUMMY!
