Ingredients
2 (15 oz) cans Contadina® Tomato Sauce
2 (6 oz) cans Contadina® Tomato Paste
1 lb lean ground beef
2 cups water
1 tbsp dried oregano
1 tbsp dried basil
3/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp sugar
Preparation
- Place ground beef in a 4 quart saucepan over medium high heat.
- Cook beef, breaking up into pieces, until no longer pink.
- Drain beef and wipe excess grease out of pot with paper towels. Return beef to saucepan.
- Add Contadina tomato sauce, Contadina tomato paste and water. Raise heat to high.
- Add remaining ingredients. Stir until blended.
- Place cover on saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and let simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve over freshly cooked pasta.
