Ingredients
1 ahi tuna steak (about an 1-2 inches thick)
1 tbsp sesame seeds
1 tsp lemon pepper seasoning
1 tsp garlic powder
Preparation
- heat a grill pan, grill or fry pan to about medium-high heat
- spread sesame seeds on a plate
- put tuna in the sesame seeds and coat all sides of the tuna, add more sesame seeds if needed
- sprinkle other seasonings all over tuna
- place tuna on hot pan and leave sit for about 2-3 minutes
- flip tuna and let sear for another 2-3 minutes
- turn tuna onto pan to sear rest of sides (about 10 seconds each)
- serve with wasabi paste and soy sauce
