Ingredients
1 pound lean ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
1 cup ketchup
1/4 cup yellow mustard
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1 tablespoon sugar
salt* and pepper to taste
hamburger buns
*substitute garlic salt and/or onion salt for extra flavor
Preparation
Place chopped onion and beef in a medium saucepan and season with salt and pepper to taste. Brown beef until no longer pink and onions are clear. Drain fat from pan. Add ketchup, mustard, vinegar, sugar, and additional salt and pepper to taste, and heat through. Cover and simmer on low heat for approximately 20 minutes. Serve on hamburger buns.
