Ingredients

6 tablespoons vanilla custard powder

4 cups eggnog (if out of season, use milk)

1/2 cup sugar

3 teaspoons rum extract

2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, plus a few pinches for sprinkling

3/4 cup heavy cream

Preparation

  1. In a saucepan, combine: powder, eggnog, sugar and stir over medium-low heat until powder & sugar are dissolved. Pour into a bowl/pitcher.

  2. Whisk in rum & vanilla extracts, nutmeg, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

  3. Whip cream until it STARTS to thicken 1-2 minutes. Fold cream into eggnog mixture to create marble patterns.

  4. Pour into pop molds, insert sticks, freeze 8 hours.

  5. Remove from freezer, let stand 5 minutes before removing from mold; sprinkle additional cinnamon.
