Ingredients
1 C. green lentils
1 T. oil
1 stalk celery, chopped
1/2 C. barley
1 carrot, chopped
1/3 - 1/2 head sliced cabbage
5 C. water
1 bay leaf
2 T. soy sauce
1 C. diced potato
Preparation
Place soup pot on medium and add oil. Add onion, celery and carrot.
Add water and rest of ingredients. Bring to boil for a few minutes, then reduce heat and simmer about 1 hour.
Add soy sauce about 10 minutes before cooking is complete.
