Ingredients
1/2 kgr minced beef meat
1 onion, chopped or minced
2 tbsp butter
oil
1/4 cup Cognac
3/4 cup red wine
1 vegetable bullion cube
juice of 1 orange
juice of 2 tangerines
1/2 bag Sunkist prunes
1 large handful blond sultana raisins
1 large handful black currants/raisins
1 wee bag pine nuts
1 cup roughly chopped chestnuts
1 tsp sugar
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
heat oil and butter, then onion till softened. Add meat and brown. Lower heat. Add cognac, red wine, salt/pepper, bullion. Lower heat some more. Add juices from fruit, simmer and then add toasted pine nuts, raisins, chestnuts and sugar. Add water or wine if mixture dries up. You want it quite moist.
