Ingredients

1/4 cup vegetable oil

4 tablespoons self-rising flour

1/4 cup New Mexico chili powder

1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce

2 cups stock

1 T ground cumin

2 tsp garlic powder

1 clove garlic (minced)

3 T minced yellow onion

1 tsp oregano

1/2 salt

salt to taste

Preparation

  1. Heat oil, then add flour and chili powder and stir about 2 min.

  2. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 min.
