Ingredients
1-1/4 cups vegetable oil
20 cups diced onion
3-3/4 cups chopped garlic
1/3 cup and 1 tablespoon and 1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/3 cup and 1 tablespoon and 1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 tablespoon and 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
3-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
6-1/4 cups hot chili powder
90 cups chicken broth
10 (1 ounce) squares semisweet chocolate
Preparation
Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium-high high heat. Saute onion until tender. Stir in garlic, oregano, cumin and cinnamon; saute for a few minutes. Stir in flour and chili powder, stirring until sauce thickens. Slowly whisk in chicken broth; reduce until sauce reaches desired consistency. Stir in chocolate until melted and well blended.
