Ingredients

1 Tbs olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 c. onions

2 1/2 t chili powder or 1 sm chili pepper

3 basil leaves chopped

1/8 t black pepper

1/8 t salt

1/4 t cumin

1/2 c tomato paste

1 1/2 c water or broth

Preparation

Heat oil. Add onions saute for 3 min. Add garlic, saute for 3 more min. Add rest of ingredients and cook on med-low heat for 10 min. Puree.
