Ingredients
1 tbsp flour
1 1/2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp thyme
1/2 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp cayenne
1 tsp cumin
1 clove garlic - minced
1 1/2 c chicken broth
1 tbsp lime juice
1/2 to 1 c tomato puree (tomato sauce can be used to make it more pourable)
Preparation
- In a large heavy skillet, saute the flour and oil over medium heat for 1 minute.
- Add herbs, spices, and garlic. Cook for 1 more minute, then add broth, tomato puree and lime juice.
- Raise the heat to high and boil, stirring constantly until thickened.
