Ingredients

CRUST:

1 cup flour

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/3 cup butter, chilled

3 Tablespoons sour cream

Combine all ingredients in a processor with plastic blade until dough forms a ball. Refrigerate for about 20 minutes before rolling the dough. Place rolled dough in a buttered pie plate. Crimp edge. Bake slightly at 425 degrees to insure the crust will not be soggy.

FILLING:

6 tart apples

1 cup sugar

2 Tablespoons flour

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon freshly grated lemon

peel

1/8 teaspoon ground cloves

1/8 teaspoon salt

Combine ingredients and spread in the slightly baked pie shell.

TOPPING:

1/2 cup flour

1/4 sugar

1/8 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese

1/4 cup butter, melted

Combine ingredients and crumble over pie. Bake at 400 degrees for 40 minutes or until golden brown.
