Ingredients
6 to 8 large Granny Smith Apples
8 graham cracker squares
(2 squares per sheet)
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup rolled oats
3/4 cup flour (whole wheat is best)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
3/4 cup butter (melted)
Preparation
Peel, core and slice apples. Apple Peeler/Corer/Slicer works best. Fill Deep Dish Baker ¾ full with apples. Finely chop graham crackers. Food Chopper works best. Combine crumbs, sugar, oats, flour and spices and mix well. Add melted butter to mixture and mix well. Spoon mixture over apples slices evenly. Bake at 350 deg F for 35 to 45 minutes.
Done when apples are simmering and crust is golden brown. Let stand and serve warm. Ice Cream complements it well.
