Ingredients
1 lbs pasta cooked and cooled
12 oz sharp cheddar cheese shredded
1 35 oz can tomatoes with juice- chopped
1 onion chopped
1 green pepper chopped
1/4 lb butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup bread crumbs
Salt and pepper
Preparation
Saute onions and pepper in butter (reserve a bit) until soft. Set aside and cool. Combine all but the bread crumbs and reserved butter and mix well. Add to buttered casserole dish. Spread bread crumbs on top and dot with remaining butter. Bake covered for 50 minutes at 325 degrees. Remove top and cook until cooked through about 10 - 15 minutes additional.
